Citrus Disinfectant

Image
Do you detox with warm lemon water?   If so don't throw out those used lemons yet! I keep a mason jar in the refrigerator.  Every day after my warm cup of lemon water, I place my peels in the jar.  After I accumulate a jar fill of peels, I top it off with vinegar.  Then I place the jar of peels and vinegar in my pantry for two weeks.  Sometime I forget about them and they sit for six weeks, and it's still good so don't worry if you forget like me.  This becomes my base for my All Purpose Citrus Cleaner  and Citrus Disinfectant .  Citrus Disinfectant 1:1 Ratio of water So for every cup of water use a cup of your citrus vinegar base

Benefits of Warm Lemon Water

Image
Start your morning every day with a warn cup of lemon water.  I then wait for at least 20 minutes before eating breakfast.  This was a tip from my holistic Dr a few years back and it works!  It helped me with my lymph system!   Hydrates Your Lymph System.  Warm water and lemon juice supports the immune system by hydrating and replacing fluids lost by your body. When your body is deprived of water, you can definitely feel the side effects, which include: feeling tired, sluggish, decreased immune function, constipation, lack of energy, low/high blood pressure, lack of sleep, lack of mental clarity and feeling stressed, just to name a few.   Don't throw out those used lemons yet!  Reuse and recycle into a great All Purpose Citrus Cleaner  and Citrus Disinfectant !

Diets

Diets where to begin.  Weight has been a battle for me most of my life.  Over the years I have researched lots of diets and been to many doctors both traditional and holistic.  I researched everything they told me and was willing to try almost anything to end this roller coaster.  Having a thyroid disorder at the age of 13, battling an autoimmune disorder in my twenties, being on steroids on/off has been tough!  One thing I can say is everybody's body reacts so different so don't give up until you find which works for you.  I often would get confused asking myself  am I following the right diet at times even being afraid to eat. I would start a plan and do well but before too long, I would have a flare up with my autoimmune disorder and it was down hill from there.  After many years and many attempts I found my body works best with protein, lots of vegetables, fruit, and small amounts of dairy....

Read on the Greatist http://greatist.com/health/83-healthy-recipe-substitutions Baking  1. Black beans for flour Swapping out flour for a can of  back beans (drained and rinsed, of course) in brownies is a great way to cut out the gluten and fit in an extra dose of protein, Plus, they taste great . When baking, swap out   1 cup flour for 1 cup black bean puree (about a 15oz can). 2. Whole wheat flour for white flour In virtually any baked good, replacing white flour with whole wheat can add a whole new dimension of nutrients, flavor, and texture. Because whole wheat includes the outer shell of the grain, it also provides an extra punch of fiber, which aids in digestion and can even lower the risk of diabetes and heart disease. For every cup of white flour, substitute 7/8 cup of whole-wheat. 3. Unsweetened applesauce for sugar Using applesauce in place of sugar can give the necessary sweetness without the extra calories and, well, su...
